Sabor a Cuba Latin Band was founded in Calgary in 2012. With a repertoire mostly based in Cuban Traditional Music, the band mixes this Cuban flavour with other styles such as Latin Jazz and Latin Folk Music. Most of the songs are in Spanish, but the band also performs some English songs adapted to Latin rhythms.
Previous performances include, Fiestaval, Expolatino, as well as many other public and private events inside and around Calgary.
The band is made up of leader Jorge Nuñez on guitar and lead vocals, Yoanna Mesa on vocals, Raul Gomez Tabera and William Henriquez on percussions, Mario Ochoa on bass and Stephen Williams on saxophone and flute.

Formed in 2006, the Hip Katz is an exciting show band with music that spans over half a century. Their catalogue features top hits from the fifties to the present, with an emphasis on horn-oriented arrangements. The group features a full rhythm section, horn section and powerhouse male and female vocals that are guaranteed to pack the dance floor.
The Hip Katz are, “Kool” Ray Martens on keys, James Evangelos on drums, Peter Mueller on guitar, Al Bader on bass, Teague Bates on trombone, Will Nickel on trumpet, Erika Bodnaruk on sax and vocals, and Mark Ward on trumpet and vocals.
